After painting in various metallic shades and weathering with washes, the engine looks the part. Molding limitations create compromises, such as plumbing lines that resemble ridges instead of piping. The “feet” that hold the aft part of the engine in the cradle must have their pins attached to the holes so that the feet are angled outward to sit on the cradle. I didn’t catch my error until too late, thus the tail-low sit of the engine in the trolley.
