To build a Wisconsin Central Airlines Lockheed L-10 in 1948, Bill detailed the cockpit and scratchbuilt the passenger cabin of a Special Hobby 1/72 scale Electra. Other improvements included new resin engines with photo-etched metal details and rebuilt cowls and landing gear. He marked the airliner with custom decals from Arctic Decals and placed it a tarmac base. The final touch was an Army staff car modified to be a 1948 Plymouth Supreme.
