What inspired Jim to build his Snowman PT Cruiser? He says an ad in an early 1950s edition of Hot Rod magazine showing a roadster with skis tied to the front tires, the long hood, short deck look of early Continentals and Mustangs, “and some pain medication I was taking at the time.” The basis of the kit is a Revell 1/25 scale SnapTite 2000 PT Cruiser with the roof removed, the hood extended with styrene sheet, the bumpers left off, the grille filled in where the front bumper had been, the cowl, interior, and windshield from a Revell ’Vette AGIN, and exhaust pipes from AMT Black Force.
